Love Island 2017: Viewers can't get enough of Blazin Squad's Marcel Somerville
It’s safe to say that this series of ITV2 dating show Love Island has one very clear favourite, with viewers fawning over Blazin’ Squad’s Marcel Somerville on a daily basis.
However, last night’s episode saw the Marcel love go into overdrive after the former musician proved that he is as loyal as a friend can be when he confronted Dom Lever for gossiping about fellow housemate Jonny Mitchell.
It all started when Jonny admitted to Dom that Camilla isn’t his type, despite the fact they are currently coupled up in the house.
He went on to share that he is tempted to recouple with Tyla, with Dom going on to blab the revelation to some of the other islanders.
Confronting him for the move, Marcel told Dom: “You can’t say that in front of Gabby, she is Camilla’s best friend. You’ve gone and kicked loads of stuff off now.
“Drama… that’s just awful now. It’s going to come out now that people are talking. People love to talk about everyone else’s business and that is what gets people into trouble.”
He later let Jonny know what had happened, impressing fans of the show with his loyalty and straight-talking nature.
As if that wasn’t enough, during the night’s re-coupling Marcel once again asked to couple up with Gabby, however, he also went one step further and asked the Scouser to be his official girlfriend.
Needless to say, the sweet gesture was too much for fans to deal with, and many took to social media to gush about Marcel following last night’s episode:

In short, it looks like Marcel is the new favourite to win this year’s series of Love Island – which isn’t too shabby considering when he first joined the show none of the girls stepped forward to be partnered with him.
