Liam Gallagher slams Dave Grohl's 'strong work ethic'

Liam Gallagher has never been one to hold back and after slagging off the likes of James Corden and Liam Payne for a whole variety of reasons, the former Oasis star has turned his sights on Dave Grohl – and this time it’s for the most bizarre reason of all.

In fact, Liam has taken aim at the Foo Fighters’ star’s strong work ethic, saying that his determination to continue with a performance despite breaking his leg midway through has made life harder for other musicians.

Speaking to GQ magazine, the 44-year-old rocker said: “Ruined it for all of us. Broke his leg and still toured. Who does that?

“Now if I have a ‘cold’ I can’t cancel because I’ll look like a wuss.”

Liam’s comments come after he recently walked off stage mid-set at Lollapalooza, blaming a sore throat.

Fans of the singer were stunned when Liam refused to perform any longer, complaining that the performance was “f*cking his throat”.

As well as Dave Grohl, Liam also blasted U2 frontman Bono, with U2 recently being supported on tour by Liam’s estranged brother, Noel Gallagher.

Ranting about the group, Liam said: “I dunno what planet they’re on, but they’re not on mine. They’re in a bubble. I’m walking the streets keeping it real. The likes of U2, when they call themselves a rock ‘n’ roll band I find that highly insulting.

“They play guitar music and they hit the drums and all that but they’re not a rock ‘n’ roll band. They’re a band that use guitars.

“They haven’t done anything rock ‘n’ roll in their life.”

Unsurprisingly, Bono is yet to retaliate to Liam’s comments.
