BBC under mounting pressure to suspend Ed Westwick as second woman accuses star of rape

The BBC faces mounting pressure to suspend Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick after a second woman has come forward to accuse the actor of rape.

Ed is currently filming the second series of BBC2 comedy ‘White Gold’ and is also due to appear in the channel’s ‘Ordeal By Innocence’ at Christmas.

The corporation is yet to publicly respond to the allegations facing Ed, a decision that several people have questioned on social media – especially after the official BBC One account tweeted a promotion for Ed’s upcoming show just hours after Kristina’s claims came to light.

Sharing a photo from ‘Ordeal By Innocence’, @BBCOne tweeted: “First look image: @EdWestwick and Eleanor Tomlinson in Agatha Christie’s #OrdealByInnocence. Coming later this year to BBC One!”

The message was immediately met with backlash from fans, who also took to the social media site to share their outrage:

Last night, Aurélie Wynn – who was previously known by her stage name Aurelie Marie Cao before giving up acting – took to her Facebook page to accuse Ed of raping her in 2014, saying that Kristina Cohen’s public allegation earlier this week gave her the strength to come forward with her own story.

The former actress wrote: “In July 2014, I went through a very similar ordeal with Ed Westwick, I was ubered by Ed to the Glendower Estates where he was renting following an invite from a girlfriend of mine who was dating his roommate, a cast member on Glee.

“We all hung out until 5am, sun was starting to rise since it was summer so we all decided to get a few hours of shuteye since we all had events and things to do the next day and there are plenty of bedrooms.

“And like Kristina, I said no and he pushed me face down and was powerless under his weight. I was wearing a one piece bathing suit that he ripped, I was in complete shock, I am also very tiny.

“When it was over I got my cellphone and found that the girl that had invited me had left or got kicked out. I had terrible service in the estate without access to the wifi and had to get another friend to get me an Uber out of there while Ed was passed out.

“The house is so big I took a video of my experience getting out of the house since it’s literally a maze.”

Aurélie then revealed that she was dating Mark Salling at the time – a Glee star who pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography last month.

He blamed her for the rape and allegedly broke up with her because of the claims, she wrote: “I told the guy I was seeing that I got raped, Mark Salling, and when he found out by who he pretended not to know him, then blamed me for it and broke it off with me.

“My other friends and people around me told me it was best not to say anything, to not be ‘that girl’ and that no one would believe me and think I was just out trying to get my 10 seconds of fame.”

She went on to thank Kristina for coming forward, adding: “Without you I would not have had the strength to speak up publicly about my ordeal.”

Kristina previously claimed that Ed, now 30, raped her three years ago when she visited him with her then-boyfriend, who is friends with the actor.

Ed has vehemently denied Kristina’s allegation, saying: “I do not know this woman”, however, detectives from LAPD’s Robbery Homicide Division sex crimes unit have taken on the case.
