You won't believe how much Ant and Dec earn each day

You might want to make sure that you are sitting down for this one; we have just found out how much Geordie TV presenters Ant and Dec earn each day and we don’t know whether to gasp or cry.

After finding fame way back in 1989 as PJ and Duncan in beloved CBBC drama Byker Grove, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnely’s careers have gone from strength to strength.

Together, the cheeky duo enjoyed a pop music career before they found their feet as children’s TV presenters alongside Cat Deeley on SM:TV Live.

After this, they became the faces of a whole host of ITV family shows – including Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

It was recently reported that the pair had signed a new £30million contract with ITV, and now The Sun have claimed that over the past 12 months Ant and Dec have earned a staggering £79,000 a day.

Which, to be honest, is more money than we can even comprehend.

As well as their incredible presenting careers, Ant and Dec own Mitre Television, named after the pub in Byker Grove, which produces Saturday Night Takeaway and owns the archives to SM:TV Live among other shows.

They also own a company called Hurley Promotions, with earnings from both companies being a reported £5.4million a year.

With all that considered, it’s little surprise that Ant and Dec recently admitted that they have six-figure life insurance against each other, with Dec explaining earlier this year: “I insure him and he insures me.

“If something were to happen, then the other one would get a payout.”

Ant was quick to add that nothing sinister would ever happen in order to get the payout, quipping: “It’s six figures, I think. It’s big! But it’s not like anything evil is going to happen.

“I think I would be the first suspect if we were together and Dec suddenly fell off a cliff! I’ve got a big motive.”

But, to be honest, when you’re earning £79,000 a day, who needs a big insurance payout anyway?
