Kanye West snubbed the Met Gala because he's embarrassed by Kim Kardashian's holiday antics

Last week we were all left stunned when Kim Kardashian took to her popular Twitter page to reveal what had been going on during her girls’ trip to Mexico, admitting that her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, had slept in her own vomit on more than one occasion as they and their gal pals enjoyed a boozy holiday away.

Kim’s revelations were so shocking that initially some of her fans wondered if she had been hacked, and it sounds like we weren’t the only ones stunned by the posts…

According to reports, Kim’s husband, Kanye West, was left so unimpressed by his wife’s holiday antics that he refused to attend the Met Gala with her on Monday night, fuming that Kim and Kourtney had damaged the family’s “brand”.

He was also not happy with a series of unflattering photos that were published of Kim’s bottom, concerned that the cellulite in the images somehow makes her look cheap.

A so-called friend of the couple explained: “Kanye has helped turned Kim into a fashion icon and he feels those pictures with Kourtney have made her look cheap, damaging her brand.

“He’s angry with Kourtney for seemingly leading her on, as she clearly revelled in turning their session into a photoshoot. Their behaviour completely detracted from Kim’s current standing in the industry.”

Kanye is now at risk of not being invited to the swanky New York do again after snubbing this year’s invite, but he remains convinced that skipping the party was the right choice.

The insider continued to The Sun: “It’s a huge deal not to attend [the Met Gala]. Turning down an invite means he might not be asked back again.

“It also risks the wrath of Anna Wintour… But after the year he’s had, given his breakdown after the Paris robbery and his anger over Kim’s snaps, he just didn’t feel attending the right thing to do.”

Kim attended the Met Gala with her younger sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and said of Kanye’s absence: “He’s at home. He has been taking some time off and really loving that.”

She has not commented on speculation that he is angry over her holiday.
