Cheryl's mum moves into family home following the birth of baby Payne

On Saturday night, Cheryl and Liam Payne took to Instagram to confirm that they are the proud parents of a bouncing baby boy, who came into the world on Wednesday.

The pair don’t yet have a name for their bundle of joy but admitted that they are head over heels in love with him, and that he is already capturing hearts.

Now it has been reported that Cheryl’s mum Joan is set to move into the family home to help the first-time parents adjust to their life as a mum and dad.

A source revealed to The Sun: “Joan will be very much on hand to help out Cheryl and Liam during the early stages of the baby’s life.

“It’s not going to be forever, but Joan has a room in the house and will be staying for however long she’s needed.

“Like any new grandmother, she just wants to offer as much support and possible, without treading on any footsteps.”

Cheryl recently moved into Liam’s luxury mansion in Surrey, South East England, where it is believed they will be raising their newborn son.

However, it’s not just Cheryl’s family offering the stars support, with Liam’s older sister Ruth taking to social media last night to wish Cheryl a happy Mother’s Day.

The excited auntie tweeted: “Happy first mothers day @CherylOfficial eeek i just love him xxx”.

Cheryl and Liam have been inundated with messages of support from fans and their famous friends since they each posted a Polaroid photo of Liam cradling the tiny tot to social media.

Cheryl captioned the picture with: “On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream.

“Although he still doesn’t have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers around the world.

“A day that now has a different meaning to me forever.”

Meanwhile, Liam wrote: “My close friends and family know there are very few times when I’m left speechless… wow!

“I’m incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it’s a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far.

“I’m completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she’s really made my dreams come true. We haven’t named him yet but he’s already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed.

“Happy Mother’s Day everyone!”
