Do you remember when Kim Kardashian revealed she actually didn't like her daughter Chicago's name, and wish she'd chosen something different? Well Amy Schumer, 37, has gone one better, and revealed she's changing her 11-month-old son's name, thanks to the fact it sounds a bit like 'genital'.

The actress welcomed her first son with husband Chris Fisher on May 5 2019, and named him Gene Attell Fisher. The middle name was chosen in honour of Amy's close friend and fellow comic Dave Attell, but she has since revealed she realised Gene Attell sounds a bit too similar to, er, genital.

"Do you guys know that Gene, our baby’s name is officially changed?" she said on the 3 Girls, 1 Keith podcast. "It’s now Gene David Fischer. It was Gene Attell Fischer, but we realized that we, by accident, named our son 'Genital'."

Podcast guest Claudia O'Doherty admitted she had realised, commenting, "My mum pointed that out to me, 'Amy’s called her son 'Genital'', and she was right!"

Amy went on to reveal her dad's middle name is also David ("So, two stones"), before later taking to Instagram to make a joke about the name mishap. "Oh, like you never named your kid Genital fissure!!!!!!!" she wrote along with a selfie with her husband.

Amy and chef Chris Fischer got married with a secret ceremony in Malibu in February 2018. The pair had been romantically linked since November 2017, but only confirmed her romance just days before they wed.

Their son, Gene David, will turn one next month in May 2020. Well, all's well that ends well, right?
