Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a big holiday purchase yesterday, buying their Christmas tree for the season—at least according to Twitter. Hello! reports that Twitter user James claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex came to the tree lot he worked at yesterday to make their purchase.

James detailed what happened in two tweets, writing, "Meghan and Prince Harry came into my work today and we sold them their Christmas Tree. We had our lot empty when they got there—their agent promoted them a good time to come instead of us shutting it down. There was one family in there and their stoked little son ran through trees up to Harry and asked if he worked here not knowing who that is 😂"

James also wrote about what the couple was like, answering a question another user asked him about them. "They seems like very nice people honestly. Meghan sounds very kind and Harry sounded and acted like a chill lad honestly. I’m really glad they liked our trees. We got the best we could get from Wa. Very appreciative :)"

James didn't give any additional detail about what kind of tree Meghan and Harry bought.

Meghan and Harry live in Montecito, California now with their one-year-old son Archie. They are expected to spend the holidays there, in part due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

A month ago, ELLE.com learned from a source close to Harry and Meghan that it is "anticipated they will be at their Montecito home in California and not be in the U.K. for Christmas." The couple had originally planned to return to their Frogmore Cottage home in December for two weeks ahead of Meghan’s privacy trial against the Mail on Sunday and Associated Newspapers. That trial has since been delayed until fall 2021.

As Hello! pointed out, this isn't the first time details have come out about Meghan and Harry's Christmas tree shopping either. On December 12, 2016, the then-new couple were seen looking for a tree at Pines and Needles in Battersea, London. They chose a medium-sized Nordmann Fir, the outlet learned.

A spokesperson for the shop spoke to Hello! about their trip, saying, "They came in at about 8:30 PM last night. Prince Harry was with Meghan and hilariously the staff only recognized Meghan at first—they were so excited to have the girl from Suits there. It wasn't particularly cold, but they were gloved and hatted out."

Sam Lyle, the owner of Pines and Needles, added that "they were completely charming together and blissfully unaware that our jaws had hit the floor. They chose a gorgeous Nordmann Fir and walked away after exchanging Christmas pleasantries."
