Yahoo News East 17's Brian Harvey arrested after 'sending malicious tweets'
Former East 17 star Brian Harvey has been arrested after allegedly sending malicious tweets, it has been reported.
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that they are currently investigating allegations of malicious communications via a Twitter account, with 43-year-old Brian being questioned by police in North London.

Speaking in a statement, officers said: “On Wednesday, 22 November, a man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of malicious communications and has been taken to a north London police station. Enquiries continue.”
Brian has not publicly commented on the arrest and Yahoo Celeb UK have contacted his reps for comment.
The star originally shot to fame in the 90s as one quarter of pop group East 17, however, he hit the headlines in 1997 when he made controversial comments about Class A drug ecstasy and swiftly left the band.

He returned to the spotlight as a contestant on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004 but quit the show following a blazing row with Janet Street-Porter.
In 2005 he was in the media again after he ran himself over – claiming that it was because he had eaten too many baked potatos
Speaking about the accident, which left him unconscious for three weeks and with a shattered pelvis, Brian said: “I had just been stuffing my face with a load of jacket potatoes and I felt sick, so I opened my car door to be sick.

“Instead of putting my foot on the brake, I put it on the accelerator and it flew back, I must have hit four or five parked cars. It must have thrown me out of the car.
“My stomach was pushed into my lungs, which collapsed, and I was told the heel of one of my feet was found up round the back of my head.”
