Pitt's Quadree Henderson breaks off highlight reel punt return TD (Video)
ACC teams should know by now that kicking to Pitt’s Quadree Henderson is a mistake.
Virginia learned that lesson the hard way on Saturday.
Already trailing the Panthers 14-0, Virginia punted to Henderson. He made them pay with a highlight-reel 75-yard punt return. It was a thing of beauty.
I counted seven different Virginia players getting a hand on Henderson, but it didn’t matter. He had just too much speed and balance.
Henderson, a junior, returned a punt for a touchdown earlier this season against Georgia Tech and now has seven career kick return touchdowns, four on kickoffs and three on punts.
The FBS record for return touchdowns is eight and is held by a number of players, including Washington’s Dante Pettis (8 punt) and Janarion Grant (5 kick, 3 punt) of Rutgers, both of whom are active seniors.
Quadree Henderson is now just one kick return TD shy of the NCAA record.
