Kris Bryant sent thank you notes to fans who bought him wedding gifts

Chicago Cubs fans just found an easy way to snag their favorite player’s autograph. You don’t have to stand in a huge crowd around the field hours before the game in the burning sun screaming your lungs out hoping they come to you. All you have to do is buy them a wedding gift!

At least, that was the case with third baseman Kris Bryant. Bryant and his wife, Jess, got married over the offseason. A few days before their big day, some ambitious fans found their wedding registry at Crate & Barrel. The Bryants still needed a few key items, and dedicated Cubs fans were more than willing to oblige.

Now, their kindness is being paid back with thank you notes from the Bryants, according to DNAInfo.com.

As you might expect, Bryant and his wife both signed the card, so fans who bought them wedding gifts now have his autograph and a nice note to go along with it. Pretty neat.

While the DNAInfo story only contains one fan who received a note, the others should come soon. Jess Bryant said the couple is trying to send out letters to every single person who sent them a gift in a post on her Instagram page.

While Kris Bryant didn’t need fans to pitch in and buy gifts for him, we can’t blame Cubs fans for wanting to give something back after he helped their favorite team finally win the World Series.

You can be a cynic and look at this as fans technically paying for a Kris Bryant autograph, but we’re taking the pure view. Every time Kris Bryant lays down on his Egyptian cotton white bath sheets, he’ll think of you.

On second thought, that’s weird. Just enjoy your Kris Bryant autograph and know he appreciates you sent him a gift for his wedding.
