Blink 182 fans blank frontman Mark Hoppus one day after sold-out O2 arena concert

Last night, Blink 182 performed a sold-out concert at London’s O2 Arena as they continued with their 2017 tour.

However, frontman Mark Hoppus suffered quite the reality check this morning when two of his own dedicated fans completely blanked him.

Mark took to his popular Twitter page to share his shock at the instances, revealing that one of the fans had even been at last night’s concert yet totally failed to recognise him.

The 45-year-old rocker shared: “Twice today I saw people wearing Blink-182 t-shirts and said ‘Hey cool shirt!’ and got looked at like ‘Yeah whatever you old space garbage!’

“The first dude glanced at me confusedly, looked down at his shirt, and goes ‘Oh yeah. Just saw them in concert last night’ and walked away.”

Mark is the only original member of Blink 182 left.

Blink first shot to fame in the early 90s and, rather ironically, Mark is the only original member of the band left.

From 1992, Blink was comprised of Mark, Tom Delonge, and drummer Scott Raynor, with Travis Barker replacing Scott in 1999.

The group took a hiatus in 2005, returning four years later only for Tom to quit in 2015.

Matt Skiba replaced Tom soon after and the band is currently comprised of Mark, Travis and Matt.

Although Mark struggles to be recognised by his fans, the star was inundated with support from his famous friends, with McFly’s Dougie Poynter, Emma Willis, and her husband Matt Willis among the celebrities in attendance at last night’s show.
