EastEnders: Johnny Carter to be killed off in horror crash?

A huge EastEnders’ storyline is set to hit our screens next month, with Johnny Carter and his mum, Linda, being involved in a collision between an ambulance and a lorry.

It has been speculated that Johnny may end up losing his life in the devastating crash, with the former law student already being injured and travelling in the ambulance.

The crash was filmed on location in Essex and in pictures obtained by The Sun, Ted Reilly, who plays Johnny, is bandaged around his stomach and there is a blood stain and IV drip seen in the images.

It is clear that Linda was travelling in the emergency vehicle with her son at the time of the crash, leaving both characters in danger – although with Scott Maslen, who plays Jack Branning, also papped filming the scenes, there is a chance that he will save the day.

A source told The Sun: “This crash is part of a big upcoming summer storyline and it will air in September.”

It was previously teased that Walford will “change forever” this summer, with former producer Sean O’Connor hoping to shake up the residents of Albert Square via Max Branning’s brutal revenge plot.

Exact details have been kept under wraps but it was previously revealed that EastEnders will be attempting something that “no soap has ever attempted before”.

Sean said at the time: “What we are planning will be electric – but I’m not going to say how! It will involve all of the main characters – both new and legacy characters, nobody has been left out. We’re all very excited about it.

“No show has ever attempted what we’re planning to do in the next few months. It’s massively ambitious – and crucially, it’s something that only EastEnders would or could do.

“Over the next few months, I guess what I’m promising is an extraordinary ride – I am genuinely excited. It’s crazily ambitious, we’re pulling out all the stops to make it happen.”

Needless to say, we can’t wait to see what the soap has in store for us.
