Andy Murray and wife Kim expecting their second child
Andy Murray might be gearing up for Wimbledon at the moment, but it has been reported that the tennis champ is also preparing for fatherhood for the second time round.
Andy and his wife Kim have told their family and friends that they are expecting a baby, with the couple already mum and dad to 17-month-old Sophia.
Although Kim’s rep confirmed the happy news to the Daily Mail, no further comment was given by the couple.
Earlier this month, Andy revealed that travelling the world for his tennis commitments is “hard” on family life, admitting that he missed some of Sophia’s “major milestones” – hinting that this included her first words.
The sportsman previously said: “My child is more important to me and my wife is more important to me than a tennis match.
“I really don’t want to miss seeing those changes.
“Even when I’m away for a day I feel bad. I feel I should be there and I want to be there as much as I can.”
Tomorrow Andy will begin his defence of his 2016 Wimbledon title as this year’s tournament gets underway, however, it comes just days after he was forced to pull out of a scheduled match due to a hip injury.
Hopefully he’ll be back on form for this week!
