'It's endless with these morons': Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Kathy Griffin, others react to Melania Trump's 'I really don't care' message

Melania Trump’s choice in outerwear for Thursday’s trip to a Texas detention center housing immigrant children was questionable. While her team first brushed off the green military-style jacket with “I really don’t care, do u?” on the back as “just a jacket” with “no hidden message,” President Trump later said it was a message. Not for the poor kids who had been torn away from their parents, but for the “fake news” media, his go-to line when he can’t come up with something better to say. Le sigh.

Needless to say, there’s a lot of outrage over the jacket, a planned distraction from the status of these more than 2,000 kids who were ripped apart from their families with no firm plans of reuniting them, and the administration in general. Trump’s favorite comedian, Kathy Griffin, was leading the charge, calling the Trumps “liars and criminals” — and there were a lot of others, like Judd Apatow, in her camp (“Nobody could dream them up in their worst nightmares”).

Actress Diane Kruger, who celebrated becoming a citizen in 2013, blasted the “shameful leadership” of the Trump administration. This is despicable and cowardly and above all shameful.”

Even the Fonz was unimpressed.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Andy Cohen were among those who were at a loss.

I have no words for the continuing parade of bullshit. #BeBest

The Donald wasn’t the only one downplaying the drama. His son Don Jr. posted a photo of the jacket with a makeover, showing Trump critic Robert De Niro crying on the back.

It really is hard not to want to cry over all of this.
