Perth woman bashed, raped at home in horrific attack
A Perth woman in her 50s has been bashed and raped in her home late on Monday evening.
The woman, who lives alone in Hilton, was attacked around 11.30pm.
The victim spent last night in hospital, while her attacker is still on the run.
Police have not named the victim in an effort to protect her identity.
It is believed her attacker is between 18 and 25 years old, short and slim with a heavy jaw.
The victim told police that he ran off wearing black pants and a grey hooded top.
Her neighbour told Seven News he did not hear anything and was shocked that something so horrible had happened to a "lovely, gentle" woman.
Police are desperate to catch the attacker, with officers on standby at Crime Stoppers to hear from anyone with information before he strikes again.
