Kim Kardashian buys North a puppy for her 4th birthday

Kim Kardashian has revealed that she bought her daughter, North, an adorable Pomeranian puppy for her fourth birthday earlier this week.

The reality star took to Snapchat to show off the pup, telling her fans: “You guys, how cute is Northie’s little puppy?”

She then asked the dog: “What should we name you?” with the excited pet reciprocating by licking her face.

Later in the day, Kim took to Twitter to reveal that North had come up with a name for her pet, however, Kim wasn’t convinced on it as she used to have a cat with the same name.

The icon wrote: “So North wants to name her puppy Mercy, thoughts? We need a good name!”

One fan responded: “Didn’t you name the kitten Kanye gave you Mercy?”, to which Kim replied: “Yes that’s why I’m not sure if we should name our puppy that too”.

Kim also shared a cute close-up photo of the dog and the dog’s identical-looking sister on Twitter, telling her 53.7million followers that North’s cousin, Kourtney Kardashian’s daughter Penelope, had also been gifted a puppy, writing: “Sister puppies for North and P.”

Penelope and North are best friends and do everything together, with Penelope’s 5th birthday coming up on the 8th July, meaning that her dog is probably a birthday gift as well.

The puppy will no doubt be a welcome distraction for North, with Kim recently revealing that she is still struggling to come to terms with being a big sister after Kim and her husband, Kanye West, welcomed son, Saint, in December 2015.

At the time, Kim admitted that North was jealous of the baby and in a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres she confessed that North is still not happy about sharing her parents’ attention.

She told the stunned host: “North just beats him up all day long and he doesn’t cry.

“She is just awful. She’s so jealous. I thought it was a phase but it’s not going away.

“She says boys aren’t allowed in her room. When she’s gone to school I’m like: ‘It’s time! Let’s go in her room, do what you want, go crazy!’

“She’s so jealous!”

Here’s hoping that North’s new adorable bundle of fluff is exactly what she needs to help with her crippling jealousy.
