Beyonce 'has given birth to twins'

Several US media outlets have ‘confirmed’ that superstar Beyonce and her husband Jay Z welcomed twins earlier this week.

Entertainment Weekly, Us Weekly and People magazine have all reported the happy news, but neither star has commented on the speculation and nor have any details about the new arrivals been provided.

A source told People: “Bey and Jay are thrilled and have started sharing the news with their family and closest friends.”

Beyonce caused a social media meltdown back in February when she announced her pregnancy with a sweet baby bump photo on Instagram, a post that quickly became the most-liked post on the site’s history.

The picture was captioned with: “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters”.

She has since posted dozens of photos of herself showing off her growing bump, with many also featuring her and Jay’z five-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.

It was always believed that the singer was due to give birth in June and speculation of the twins’ arrival has grown in recent days after a woman was photographed entering an LA hospital on Friday with a card that read: “B + J”.

Beyonce’s sister, Solange, was also spotted at the same hospital after Jay skipped the Songwriters Hall Of Fame Awards on Thursday night, despite being honoured at the ceremony.

Yahoo Celeb UK have contacted Beyonce’s reps for confirmation of her and Jay’s happy news, with the reports coming just days after Hollywood actor George Clooney and his wife Amal welcomed their own set of twins, Ella and Alexander.
