Robbie Williams to join Take That for One Love Manchester benefit concert?

It has been reported that Robbie Williams is in talks to join his former Take That bandmates for Ariana Grande’s One Love Manchester benefit concert on Sunday night.

The 43-year-old singer is already listed on the line-up to appear as a solo artist, but now he is apparently tempted to team up with Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, and Mark Owen for a “very special reunion”.

Robbie is already on the bill as a solo artist.

Speaking to The Sun, a source explained: “Robbie has signed up to perform and, of course, the first thing the organisers suggested was getting him together with Take That, who are already on the bill.

“They are all great mates and love the chance to get together, so everyone agrees it would be a lovely thing to do for such an incredible cause.

“Being local lads it’s obviously something they’re all very passionate about supporting. They have gone to great lengths to make sure they can be there – even though it will mean Take That racing straight from the stage to their own gig later that night in Birmingham.

“Talks are very much ongoing and if they can make the timings work then it would be a very special reunion indeed.”

Robbie was a member of Take That from 1990 until 1995, and again from 2009 until 2012 and regularly reunites with the band for special one-off performances.

One Love Manchester was organised by Ariana after her sold-out concert at Manchester Arena last Monday [22 May] was targeted by suicide bomber Salman Abedi, who detonated a homemade nail bomb at the end of the show, killing 22 people and seriously injuring countless others.

All proceeds from the concert, which also features performances from Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, and Coldplay, will go towards the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund and all who were at Ariana’s initial concert have been given free tickets to this weekend’s gig.

General tickets to One Love Manchester sold out in just six minutes after going on sale at 10am yesterday, and it is also thought that Ariana will spend time with victims of the attack whilst she is in the British city.
