Pregnant Ferne McCann to leave Essex for 'fresh start' after Arthur Collins' arrest

It has been reported that pregnant Ferne McCann is considering leaving Essex for a fresh start following the arrest of her former boyfriend, Arthur Collins.

Ferne first found fame as a star on The Only Way Is Essex but went on to have success in the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here jungle as she made a name for herself away from the reality show.

Now, the 26-year-old beauty is desperate to leave her old life behind after Arthur was charged with 14 counts of wounding with intent to do GBH and one of throwing corrosive fluid with intent to do GBH after he launched an acid attack in an East London nightclub earlier this month.

Speaking to The Sun, a friend of Ferne’s explained: “She’s seriously considering moving away for a fresh start for the sake of her child.

“It’s been a hell of an ordeal for her and she really needs some space to clear her head and decide what’s for the best.

“She just needs some calm and at the moment everything in Essex would make her think of what happened.

“Everyone knows her and Arthur and they’re all talking about what has gone on.

“A couple of people have been suggesting a bit of a clean break could be the best thing and she’s taking the advice on board.”

It is believed that Ferne had told Arthur that she is pregnant shortly before the attack took place, with the star planning to move in with and eventually marry the star in the near future.

After learning that he was involved with the acid attack at Mangle nightclub, Ferne flew to Ireland for a business meeting but returned earlier this week, confirming that she is pregnant but stressing that she is no longer in a relationship with Arthur.

Her spokesperson said in a statement: “Obviously her first concern is for her child’s health.

“She does not wish to discuss the pregnancy further given the early stage it is at and the immense strain Ferne is under. Nor does she wish to discuss her ex, who she does not recognise from events of the last week.

“Ferne is in no way seeking sympathy for her situation and is determined to do all she can to have a happy and healthy child and face the challenges of being a single parent with all her energy.”

Ferne has also repeatedly expressed her sympathy to the victims of the attack, which left two club-goers partially blinded and 20 injured.
