Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck put on united front three days after filing for divorce

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are continuing with the most amicable celebrity split of all time, with the pair all smiles as they took their children to church for Easter Sunday.

The former couple were snapped leaving the church service in Los Angeles with their three children, 11-year-old Violet, eight-year-old Seraphina and five-year-old Samuel, just three days after Jennifer officially filed for divorce from the Hollywood actor.

Jen and Ben announced their separation two years ago and their friendly behaviour, alongside the time that it took them to file for divorce, left fans hoping that they would reconcile – especially as Ben continued to spend Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Thanksgiving with his family.

However, it appears that the pair have simply managed to salvage a friendship from their 10-year marriage, and both stars have always been adamant that they will put their children fist.

In legal documents obtained by E! News, Jennifer and Ben are both seeking joint legal and physical custody of the three youngsters, and the pair filed the paperwork together, which means that it was co-ordinated.

Last month, a source explained to E!: “Their relationship is very fluid and nothing has really changed. They have been working at their relationship for the past few years.

“They are co-parenting. The most important thing in all of this are their kids.”

A sentiment echoed in the original statement announcing their separation that was released in 2015.

It read: “After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce.

The couple were married for 10 years.

“We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private family matter. Thank you for understanding.”

Ben previously spoke out to praise his ex-wife on the way that she has handled their divorce, crediting her for how amicable they have been able to keep their separation.
