One Direction fans launch campaign for Louis Tomlinson to meet young girl with dwarfism

You might have seen the heartwarming story of seven-year-old Daisy from Texas at some point today.

The young girl has hit the headlines after bursting into tears when her dream of meeting Beauty and the Beast’s Belle came true at Disney World on Sunday.

Daisy broke down after meeting Belle.

Daisy was born with Achondroplasia, which is a form of dwarfism, and has had to undergo surgery on her head, legs, neck and back throughout the years, with a kindhearted nurse at the Children’s Health Hospital in Dallas nominating the little girl for Make A Wish.

When she was approved by the foundation, which organises magical experiences for children with life-threatening illnesses, Daisy chose a trip to Disney World in Florida, specifically so that she could meet her favourite character, Belle.

Dressed in her own yellow Belle dress, Daisy was overcome with emotion when she finally met her idol – with Belle even giving Daisy and her family a tour.

Daisy selflessly chose Disney over Louis to share the experience with her siblings.

Speaking out, her auntie Patricia shared: “Daisy was jumping up and down from excitement and was bawling her eyes out when Belle told her she would take her on the tour.

“Daisy was sobbing from happiness, and everyone around her was crying too.

“Disney characters never break character, but Belle almost started crying when she said goodbye to Daisy [at the end of the tour] because she was so touched.”

Patricia went on to reveal that generous Daisy originally wanted to use her wish to meet One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, but changed it to Disney so that she could share the experience with her brother and sister.

In fact, Daisy is such a huge Louis fan that she was even filmed singing along to the star’s debut solo single, ‘Just Hold On’, on the car ride home from Disney – prompting One Direction fans to launch a campaign for Daisy to meet the 25-year-old singer.

Tweeting in their thousands, fans are attempting to get the attention of Louis and his family on Daisy’s behalf:

The star is yet to respond to the campaign, but we have every hope that the wonderful Louis will help to make Daisy’s dream come true.
