In today’s depressing news, we’ve learned that Beyonce’s Instagram posts are worth more than our house, car, and yearly salary… combined.

Yes, according to a finance expert, the star’s limited use of social media has catapulted each Instagram post’s worth to a staggering $1million.

Cor, how’s that for a measure of success, eh?

Beyonce has been named the most influential celebrity on the photo-sharing website by D’Marie Analytics, with chief executive Frank Spadafora explaining: “Her limited release of exclusive, curated content causes such frenzy from her audience.

“These days, less really is more.”

And if you needed any evidence of Bey’s star-power, the singer broke an Instagram record for the most-liked image on their website when she attracted almost 11 million likes within eight hours of sharing a photo announcing that she and her husband Jay Z are expecting twins.

The previous record was held by Selena Gomez, with a photo of her sipping from a Coca-Cola bottle gaining almost 7 million likes.

Selena was named as the second-most influential celebrity on social media by D’Marie Analytics, with a post from the singer thought to be worth around $775,000 across Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

However, Selena – who is the most followed person on Instagram – recently admitted that she felt “awful” about her “addiction” to the site, explaining: “As soon as I became the most followed person on Instagram, I sort of freaked out.

“It had become so consuming to me. It’s what I woke up to and went to sleep to.

“I was an addict, and it felt like I was seeing things I didn’t want to see, like it was putting things in my head that I didn’t want to care about. I always end up feeling like s**t when I look at Instagram.

“Which is why I’m kind of under the radar, ghosting it a bit.”
