WATCH: Emma Watson stops an interview to clean ink from a reporter's face

Emma Watson has proven that she is completely up to date on Girl Code 101, stopping a reporter mid-interview so that she can clean some pen from her chin.

What a hero.

Emma was appearing on a Spanish show Pool Fiction alongside her Beauty And The Beast co-star, Dan Stevens, when she noticed that the reporter, Clara, had black ink on her face.

Dan was in the middle of answering a question when Emma interrupted: “I’m so sorry, can I stop you? I’m so sorry.”

Turning to Clara, the actress continued: “You would do this for me, I would do this for you… You’ve got pen on your chin, and you’re gonna be so sad when you see this.

“I have to do this for you. I know what it’s like to have something on your face.”

Emma got up and wiped the mark from Clara’s chin herself and even called over her personal make-up artist to cover the patch on Clara’s face with some concelear.

The reporter was obviously stunned by the whole altercation, asking if she had turned red before adding: “This is the best moment of my trip, I have to say.”

After the little clean-up, the interview continued as normal and we are sure that Clara was incredibly grateful that Emma didn’t let her conduct the entire thing with ink on her chin.

Whether or not you should stop an interview to tell somebody that they have something on their face became a topic of debate last year after Holly Willoughby came under fire for not telling Jodie Marsh that she had lipstick on her teeth during a live chat on This Morning.

The star was accused of ‘breaking the girl code’, and just a couple of months later Emma Willis was praised for telling Nicola McLean to wipe away some lipstick mid-way through her Celebrity Big Brother interview.
