Everybody wants Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield to get back together after the Oscars

Now that everybody is kind of over the huge Best Picture blunder from the Oscars, it’s time to pay attention to the somewhat less dramatic, but equally important, aspects of the night.

One of the things that is doing the rounds following Sunday night’s ceremony is the way that Andrew Garfield proudly looked at his ex-girlfriend, Emma Stone, as she took to the stage to accept the Best Actress award for her role in La La Land.

Andrew seemingly thought back tears as Emma accepted her Oscar.

Andrew, who was nominated for Best Actor for his role in Hacksaw Ridge, broke hearts everywhere as he seemingly teared up at the sight of his ex’s success, and now fans are calling for the pair to stop playing with our emotions and get back together.

After her win, Emma was spotted stopped to chat to the British actor as she made her way back to her seat, with the pair clearly still on incredibly good terms – and the people of Twitter just don’t understand why they can’t work things out:

Andrew and Emma first met during screen tests for The Amazing Spider-Man, playing couple Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy.

They soon became the most loved-up couple in Hollywood before splitting in 2015 after four years together, but fans have always latched on to hope of a reunion due to their amicable break-up.

This isn’t the first time that Andrew has publicly shared his pride for Emma, melting hearts as he gave the star a standing ovation when she won Best Actress at the Golden Globes earlier this year, with most of the audience around him remaining seated.
