Melanie and George were always incredibly close, with the 55 year old travelling the world with her famous brother at the height of his career.

It is believed that Melanie has already moved into George’s home, using it as a base as she plans his funeral which is due to take place later today.

Speaking to The Sun, a source shared: “George was very close to his whole family but he had a particularly special bond with Melanie, who was by his side at the height of his fame.

“She adores the Highgate house, one of the first he bought. They shared some wonderful times there and it has a special place in her heart.
