Angelina Jolie's adoption papers for son Maddox were FAKED

Angelina Jolie has found herself at the centre of a distressing documentation row surrounding the adoption of her eldest child, Maddox.

The star and her then-husband, Billy Bob Thornton, took full custody of Maddox, who is now 15, in 2003 and a local aid charity worker has now claimed that he signed the official papers in Cambodia saying that he is Maddox’s father.

According to The Sun, Mounh Sarath holds an adoption document filed with a court in the Battambong province that states that he officially has power of attorney over the child.

Mounh says that he has now fallen out with Angelina, telling the publication: “I would be happy if Cambodia didn’t see her again.

“In court documents, Maddox is still my son. She never cleared this up.”

Mounh is the director of an aid charity and he met Angelina through her extensive charity work.

He claims that to speed up the adoption process he said that he was Maddox’s father and provided his own local address, however, there is no implication that either Ang or Billy Bob knew that Mounh did this.

This is just the latest controversy in Maddox’s adoption, with the agent who arranged his placement with Angelina, Lauryn Galindo, later jailed in the US.

Lauryn was sentenced to 18 months after she was found guilty of falsifying names, birth dates and places of birth of Cambodian children who she helped to place with US parents.

Angelina previously insisted that she went to “great lengths” to ensure that she had the accurate information on Maddox before adopting him, adding: “I would never rob a mother of her child. I can only imagine how dreadful that would feel.”

Angelina, who split from husband Brad Pitt last year, has six children, including two other international adoptees.

Alongside Maddox, Ang is mum to Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins, Vivienne and Knox.

She has not yet commented on the latest allegations and Yahoo Celeb have contacted Angelina’s rep for comment.
