Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom split because he didn't want to settle down

Last week, we were all left saddened when it was confirmed that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom had split after almost one year together.

Katy quickly took to social media to insist that they were still on good terms, with it now being revealed that they called time on their romance because Orlando, 40, didn’t want to settle down.

Katy insists that there are ‘no victims or villains’ in their split.

The actor was previously married to model Miranda Kerr, who he has six-year-old son Flynn with, and sources say that he isn’t planning on getting married and having more children any time soon.

Speaking to The Mirror, the insider explained: “Katy and Orlando had a great time together. It was a great healing process for Orlando following his divorce from Miranda.

“But Katy and Orlando discovered they were on different pages. Katy wants children and to get married, while Orlando has been there and done that.

“At 32, Katy doesn’t want to waste any more time. It became a strain.”

Katy was previously married to comic Russell Brand but the pair divorced in 2011 after just once year.

Announcing their break-up in a joint statement, Katy and Orlando revealed last Wednesday: “Before falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time.”

The pair dated for almost one year.

Katy followed up with a tweet that read: “HOW BOUT A NEW WAY OF THINKING FOR 2017 U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one’s a victim or a villain, get a life y’all! [sic]”

We’re glad to hear that things are so amicable, and who knows? Perhaps there will be a Katy/ Orlando reunion in the future.
