Carlos Santana Disses Beyoncé’s Music, Says It’s More Like ‘Modeling Kind of Music’

Carlos Santana is throwing some major shade at Beyoncé. The guitar legend said Adele deserved to win the Album of the Year award at the Grammys this past weekend. Santana said it’s “because [Adele] can sing. … Beyoncé is very beautiful to look at, and it’s more like modeling kind of music. … She’s not a singer … with all respect to her.” WHAT?! Can we remind you that Adele was SHOCKED when she won the coveted award this past Sunday, and spent the majority of her acceptance speech praising Beyoncé?

Adele performed twice, opening the show by singing her hit song “Hello” and later took the stage for a George Michael tribute. Both performances were simple, and featured only Adele singing onstage. Beyoncé, on the other hand, performed two of her songs with a bevy of dancers and an extensive amount of props. Santana said bluntly, “Adele doesn’t bring all the dancers and props; she can just stand there, and she just stood there and sang the song and that’s it, and this is why she wins.”
