Britain's Got Talent dancer arrested after £56k cannabis farm discovered in his home

If you cast your minds back to 2009, you’ll probably remember comic father-son duo Stavros Flatley who shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent.

The pair went on to have a fair bit of fame, with Lagi Demetriou being just 13 at the time.

Now 20, Lagi has been arrested after a huge cannabis factory was discovered in his London home, with firefighters reportedly finding 460 cannabis farms worth £56,000 after they went to his flat in Enfield to investigate a leak.

Lagi’s father, Demetri, is said to be absolutely devastated by the news, with an insider telling The Sun: “He burst out crying when he heard. Demetri’s 100 per cent against drugs and will be furious about this.”

Lagi is now 20 years old.

Lagi has claimed that he “doesn’t know anything about the cannabis-growing operation”, with the insider adding that he has told police his friend was actually the tenant at the flat.

It is thought that Lagi and Demetri own multiple flats in the Enfield area, with The Sun reporting that nobody has been registered at the one with the cannabis farm since 2013, and it is believed that Lagi never lived there.

Demetri is said to be ‘devastated’ by the allegations surrounding his son.

Stavros Flatley came fourth in the 2009 series of Britain’s Got Talent and later went on tour and even performed for the Queen at the 100th Royal Variety Performance.

Lagi now works as a barber and has been released on bail until May, pending further inquiries.

Neither Lagi or Demetri have commented on the allegations.
