Ed Sheeran was turned away from Grammys after-party

Ed Sheeran has revealed that he was rejected from an exclusive Grammy after party on Sunday night – and it wasn’t even the first time.

The flame-haired star is arguably one of the biggest names in music at the moment, but the ‘Shape Of You’ hitmaker was turned away from the swanky bash at Milk Studios in Los Angeles despite performing at the main ceremony just hours earlier.

The 25-year-old singer has now admitted that this is the fourth consecutive year that he has been snubbed.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, Ed explained: “That’s actually happened four years in a row. And that’s not just my label’s after-party! That’s just after-parties in general.”

Ed and other stars such as Adrien Brody and DJ Pete Tong were turned away because the venue had reached maximum capacity, with Ed adding: “You know what I don’t get?

“When you walk into those parties, there’s probably four musicians there and everyone else is just people from LA, who didn’t go to the Grammys and probably just want a party to go to.”

Ed eventually found refuge at Diplo and Benny Blanco’s Hollywood Hills house party instead, but quickly left after it got overcrowded, sharing: “I arrived there super early and I was like, ‘This is really cool! No one’s here!’

Ed is arguably as A-List as they get.

“And then suddenly 2,000 people turned up and I was like, ‘I’m going.”

Hopefully Ed will have better after-party luck at the BRIT Awards next week!
