Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer” video is jam-packed with stars, and we can’t stop watching

It’s true that fall is just around the corner (this year’s equinox drops on September 23rd). But listen: Hot girl summer is not over yet. Megan Thee Stallion just released her music video for “Hot Girl Summer,” and the summer season just got a second wind. Don your best neon, animal print bathing suits, ladies and gentlemen. The pool is still open for business and all hotties are invited.

The music video starts out with comedian Jaimesha Thomas reenacting her viral tweet in which she attempts to embody what “Hot Girl Summer” is all about. The anthem isn’t simply about being hot, though. It’s about being the most authentic version of yourself while “having a good-ass time, hyping up [your] friends, doing you,” as Megan Thee Stallion told The Root in June.

Once Thomas heads out to the hottest party of the summer, she’s greeted and transformed by her fellow hot girls and definitely has a “good-ass time.”

Other celebs like French Montana, La La Anthony, Ari Lennox, and Rico Nasty also make appearances at the Hot Girl Summer party. And, of course, Megan Thee Stallion, Ty Dolla $ign, and Nicki Minaj are also all in attendance.

“Hot Girl Summer” is currently at No. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 12 on the Hot Rap Songs chart. However, the music video is currently trending at No. 1 on YouTube, meaning the song could experience a comeback on the charts later this week.

We felt it in our bones, but it’s nice to have visual confirmation that Hot Girl Summer is still in full swing. Cool Girl Fall can wait.
