Adam Lambert and James Corden Go Head-to-Head Singing Queen Classics

Adam Lambert and James Corden got into a good old-fashioned staged singing competition on The Late Late Show Thursday night to find out who would be a better frontman for the legendary rock band Queen. They were even joined by two original members of the band: guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor. Lambert has been performing with Queen off and on since 2011, but Corden did his best to prove that he would be the better frontman.

Lambert kicked things off with a spirited rendition of “We Will Rock You.” Corden countered with a very energetic (is there any other way to perform this song?) performance of “Don’t Stop Me Now.” With Lambert unimpressed, Corden gave “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” a shot, but the dance moves looked more like he was trying to impersonate Elvis. Lambert sealed the deal and Corden’s fate with the appropriate “Another One Bites the Dust.”

After Corden conceded victory, he and Lambert belted out “Somebody to Love.”
