Celebrity Big Brother: Viewers outraged as John McCririck bodyshames Coleen Nolan

It all kicked off in last night’s Celebrity Big Brother, with the housemates being hurled in front of a judge as they stood accused of a variety of Big Brother sins.

For the task, which was lead by Vanessa Feltz, former CBB housemates acted as witnesses – including controversial John McCririck.

Whilst a lot of what the witnesses said was hailed on social media for being true and to the point, John’s rant at Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan struck a nerve, with the divisive TV personality body-shaming the star as he accused her of “eating all of the time”.

In his rant, John seethed: “Coleen, the last time you were in the house, you were reckoned to be the most boring, dull housemate there had ever been.

“You’ve lived up to your reputation. I’ve made allowances for the fact you’re at the time of life that is difficult for women, I fully accept that, but let us look at what you have done.

“You are unable sound counselling and advice to people who have come to you for it, instead you have been weeping and blubbing and begging for their help.

“You smoke too much, you eat too much, who are you to give advice as an agony aunt?”

Nicola McLean immediately sprung to her housemates’ defense, calling John’s comments “vile” and telling him that he owes Coleen an apology.

For once, viewers agreed with Nic and took to Twitter to slam ‘bully’ John for his offensive comments.

One wrote: “Who the f*ck is John Mc?! How dare he tell anyone they eat too much?! Fat shaming from a vile, man! @NolanColeen didn’t deserve that!”

Others added: “John Mc is a horrible, horrible man!! Why has he got the right to tell any women how to speak!?”

“John McCririck’s misogynistic remarks to @NolanColeen tonight were totally unacceptable. She, & us the viewers need an apology.”

Coleen attempted to keep a stiff upper lip but was clearly upset with John’s comments, later saying: “How dare he? He’s an absolute p***k. God forgive my language. F*** off. F***ing a******e.”
