What Feud? Rihanna Congratulates Beyoncé and ‘Big Bro’ Jay Z on Baby News
Rihanna has been known to throw shade on Instagram, but today she’s doing the reverse.
After Beyoncé revealed the big news that she and her husband, Jay Z, are expecting twins, the singer reposted the announcement, with a sweet message about her love for the couple. “So excited about this news!!!!” she wrote. “Congratulations to you @beyonce and my big bro Jay!!!!”

RiRi’s message is noteworthy, because there have long been rumors of a feud between her and the Queen Bey over Jay Z. It started as long ago as 2005, when Rihanna came on the scene as Jay Z’s protégé, after signing to his record label.
The Barbados-born singer’s first song, “Pon de Replay,” arrived amid rumblings she was getting romantic with Beyoncé’s then-boyfriend. Former publicist Jonathan Hay told the New York Daily News in October 2015 that he started a false rumor while working for RiRi’s producer to help the song attract attention.

Last year, when the mystery of Becky With the Good Hair was being investigated, Rihanna was one name that was tossed around. She didn’t help things when she liked a social media message a fan had posted dissing Beyoncé.

Rihanna later explained that she was simply approving of the photo in the post — her scantily clad torso — and not the text. Apparently, she hadn’t even read that.
