Lady Gaga’s New Wine Line Is Named After One of Her Songs

After dazzling the world with her gravity-defying performance at Super Bowl LI, pop singer Lady Gaga is setting her sights on a new business endeavor: winemaking.

According to TMZ, her company has filed to produce wine, wine coolers, wine cocktails, and wine punches under the name Grigio Girls.

Grigio Girls is also the name of a bonus track on her 2016 album, Joanne. Some lyrics include,All the pinot / pinot grigio girls / Pour your heart out / watch your blues turn gold.”

Lady Gaga’s love of wine is no secret, and she appeared in a 2011 Saturday Night Live sketch in a wine costume, with host Justin Timberlake dressed as a beer bottle and cast member Kristen Wiig dressed as a tea bag.

Because Lady Gaga’s parents – Joseph and Cynthia Germanotta – own an Italian restaurant in New York named Joanne Trattoria, it’s a real possibility that Grigio Girls wine could show up on the menu in the near future.
