The Graham Norton Show: Red Chair Rudeness!

image

It’s long been one of my favourite parts of the show, and last night’s second Red Chair story shot straight to the top of the all time list of funniest and most outrageous.

The sofa was suffering from extremes in temperature, with the hottest Brit actor of the moment, Tom Hiddleston, next to coolest man on the planet, Samuel L Jackson, and another of America’s coolest actors, if slightly subdued, John Malkovich. Resident Brit-comic this week was Sara Pascoe, who’d already lowered the tone with her anecdote about her two cats looking for the third they could hear “purring” and finding her vibrator instead. Samuel L.- J, on excellent form, quipped it was two cats and a rabbit! Musical guests were Chvrches.

We’d also been subjected to Loki fan art - seems he’s pretty adept at pole dancing, resplendent in thigh length leather boots. Graham kindly said they’d print it out for Tom so he could take it home. Not sure Tom wanted to take up the offer …

It was south Londoner Debbie, with more front than Surrey Quays, who shocked them with her story of adult shenanigans with a former lover. It wasn’t just that the story in itself was hilarious - in a kind of horrified what is she saying? kind of way - but the reaction of the guests was priceless:

On her first declaration that she was enjoying adult time …

Secondly, Graham, unimpressed with the euphemism ‘dinner for two’…

image

And finally, when she really got into it …

That still wasn’t the funniest part though. John Malkovich was struggling to visualise the anatomical position of what it was Debbie was doing “… someone should …I dunno …maybe I need help …but I envisage, say, two people like this …

image

“… but if something is in her mouth, why would the thing below it be in her nose?”

They were all very quick to explain to him, SLJ particularly, complete with hand demonstrations.

I can’t imagine we’d see this anywhere other than The Graham Norton Show! Catch it on iPlayer.
