Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to handle their divorce privately

After a series of very public mud-slinging matches between the two stars, Angelina Jolie has finally agreed to Brad Pitt’s request to handle their divorce proceedings privately.

The Hollywood couple announced their split last September and it has now been confirmed that the details of their divorce will remain confidential as they plan to use a private judge.

Brad and Angelina will be dealing with matters privately from now on.

A statement obtained by PEOPLE magazine explains: “The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues.

“The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification.”

The Jolie-Pitt children will have all legal documents about them sealed.

They have also agreed to seal all records concerning their children.

The move comes after Brad lashed out at Angelina in legal documents, revealing that she was the one who was preventing the details of their split from being kept private, he also accused her of compromising the privacy of their children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight.

Angelina was previously accused of turning the children against Brad.

Brad previously requested to have an emergency hearing to rule that all documents regarding their children remained sealed, with his request being turned down.

Angelina’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, previously explained that Angelina had turned down the request because Brad’s team hadn’t consulted her first.
