George Michael's boyfriend Fadi Fawaz slept in his car the night star died

George Michael’s boyfriend, Fadi Fawaz, has sensationally revealed that the late star died home alone on Christmas morning, with Fadi opting to sleep in his car on Christmas Eve rather than with the star.

Fadi originally said that he’d spent the whole weekend at George’s house and discovered his lifeless body on Christmas morning, however, he has now clarified that they had spent the night apart.

He explained: “I never saw him. I fell asleep in my car and I never saw him that night.

“The police know everything. That’s the most important thing.

“I stayed the whole weekend. I was there Friday night and then I found him Sunday.”

It is unclear why Fadi decided to spend the night in his car, but his comments come after the 40-year-old’s Twitter account was allegedly hacked to claim that George had killed himself.

Tweets sent from the account earlier this week read: “Not sure who that nasty close friend of George but i was in relationship with George Michael til I found him dead in bed.

The tweets stunned George’s legions of fans.

“The only thing George wanted is to DIE. He tried numbers of time to kill himself many times and finally he managed.”

Fadi’s entire Twitter account has since been deleted and he quickly insisted that he was not the one to send the chilling messages.

He told The Mirror at the time: “My Twitter account has been hacked and closed. It’s a bit scary to be honest. I did not send those tweets. I woke up at 11.30am to the news. I am not going to worry about these things.”

George and Fadi started dating in 2009.

He went on to insist that he had “no idea” how George died, with a post mortem into George’s death last Friday proving “inconclusive”.

Fadi and George started dating in 2009 and Fadi previously kept a bedside vigil when the singer almost died from pneumonia back in 2011.
