The Voice UK: Viewers heap praise onto Jennifer Hudson in ITV reboot

Last night was an exciting night for reality TV fans, with both ITV’s The Voice UK reboot and Gary Barlow’s BBC Let It Shine talent show launching.

Although viewers were left impressed with Barlow’s opening number in the latter of the show’s, it was Jennifer Hudson who won the hearts of the nation over on ITV, with fans amazed by, and a little bit in love with, The Voice UK’s newest female judge.

Jen added that much-needed spice to The Voice UK.

Joining Voice veteran will.i.am, returning judge Tom Jones and fellow newbie Gavin Rossdale, Jennifer proved to be sassy, funny, and, above all, super passionate as she demonstrated her flawless vocals on more than one occasion.

Jennifer arguably injected a bit of much-needed spice into the show, with this being the first series to grace our screens since ITV nabbed it from the BBC and, considering ITV are the supremos behind huge talent show The X Factor, it’s no real surprise that they managed to make The Voice UK fun and relevant again.

Taking to Twitter, viewers heaped praise onto both Jennifer and the revived show, with EastEnders’ Danny-Boy Hatchard leading the way:

Only time will tell whether or not ITV are able to hold onto their new fans as The Voice UK progresses.
