I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! fans go wild as ITV drop first teaser trailer

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! fans were sent into a tizzy last night when ITV dropped the first teaser trailer for the upcoming series.

After months of speculation about whether the reality TV show will be postponed, or even if it will have different hosts, following Ant McPartlin’s rehab stint, the channel seemingly confirmed that it was business as usual in the Aussie outback.

The 13-second clip was more than enough to excite fans when it was released last night, with it featuring Ant and Dec shouting: “Let’s get ready to jungle!” – a reference to their hit 90s song ‘Let’s Get Ready To Rumble’.

I’m A Celeb fans took to Twitter to react to the teaser, with many over-the-moon to see that all signs point to Ant returning to the show, in what will be his first TV appearance since he entered rehab for prescription drug addiction in June this year.

It was recently reported that ITV had postponed a second I’m A Celeb promo shoot featuring hosts Ant and Dec in order to give Ant more time to recover.

However, bosses have confirmed that the reality show is still expected to screen in mid-November as usual.

A source told The Mirror at the time: “They were left out of the latest filming to give Ant as much time as possible to recover.

“Ant obviously had a lot to deal with and needed some space. It was important not to overburden him.”

Ant previously told how a two-year addiction to extra strong painkillers almost killed him, with the Geordie star continuing with his recovery in America after being discharged from a UK rehab centre.

The insider continued: “Ant and Dec are obviously incredibly close so being apart has been difficult. They’re looking forward to getting back together and getting on with what they do best.

“ITV are adamant the show go ahead as planned and there’s a real sense of optimism about it.”

And it looks like fans won’t have too much longer to wait.
