During the speech, President Obama’s older daughter, Malia, was seen on the screen, even tearing up at one point. Noticeably absent from the 44th president of the United States’ farewell was his younger daughter, 15-year-old Sasha.

Many Americans took to social media to speculate as to why she was not in attendance, and Sasha’s absence began trending worldwide, with the hashtag #wheressasha being widely used.

The hashtag also yielded many humorous tweets as well.
