Two motorcyclists killed in Victorian crash

Two motorcycle riders have died in a horror crash in Victoria's upper Goulburn Valley.

A four-wheel-drive and two motorcycles collided about 4.45pm on Friday at Mansfield-Woods Point Road in Kevington, police said.

Both men, believed to be in their 40s, died at the scene, while a female pillion passenger received serious injuries and was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital.

Paramedics were winched down to help the injured, after an air ambulance was unable to land at the scene.

A second helicopter transported the woman, reportedly aged in her late 30s, to hospital.

She suffered serious leg and shoulder injuries, according to the Herald Sun.

The road was closed north of Kevington for some time.

Police said the male driver of the car was assisting them with their inquiries.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating.

Nine people have been killed in Victorian roads this holiday period, icluding a pedestrian who became trapped under a vehicle on Thursday.

Victoria's road toll for 2016 stands at 291, compared with 251 deaths for the same time last year.
