Brad Pitt 'breaks down in tears' after spending Christmas without his children

One of the most shocking parts of 2016 was not just Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s sudden split, but also just how bitter their relationship became in the following weeks.

Amid reports that Brad’s six children with the Hollywood actress, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, were refusing to call him “dad”, it has now been claimed that Brad spent the festive season in tears after being forced to celebrate it without his family.

Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, a source shared: “He desperately misses having his kids with him for Christmas and New Year.

“He’s broken down in tears so many times – he’s not ashamed to cry anymore. Brad is like a broken man.”

The news comes shortly after Brad slammed Angelina in legal documents, claiming that his estranged wife was compromising their children’s privacy.

The court papers accuse Ange of appearing “to be determined to ignore even agreed upon standards relating to the children’s best interest and she is attempting to clear the way to put in the public eye any allegations she can, without regard to the impact on the minor children”.

He added that Angelina “exposed the children by making public the names of their therapists and other mental health professionals” before accusing the actress of having “no self-regulating mechanisms”.

Brad had already filed for legal documents surrounding his divorce to be made private for the sake of their children, but Angelina’s legal team rejected his request.

It is believed that Angelina dumped Brad after he allegedly “lunged at” their teen son, Maddox, on a private jet during an argument with Angelina, although social services have since cleared Brad’s name.

Here’s hoping that in 2017 the pair are able to sort out their differences and be a little more amicable for the sake of their children.
