'World's most beautiful six year old' is now teen model of the moment
This season’s model of the moment, Thylane Blondeau, was once dubbed “the most beautiful girl in the world” after a photo of her aged six went viral 10 years ago.
Thylane, now 16, has been walking runways since the age of four and even took part in a controversial Vogue photoshoot when she was still in primary school.
The beauty has now made an appearance at Milan Fashion Week, walking for Dolce & Gabbana last night, shortly after causing a stir as she hit the FROW at Michael Kors’ show in New York earlier this month.
Thylane has also recently landed her first major contract as L’Oreal’s newest ambassador.
Teenage Thylane’s huge success in the fashion industry comes as no real surprise, with the starlet first shooting to fame when she walked for Jean Paul Gaultier in Paris when she was just four years old.
Aged 10, Thylane then sparked outrage when she posed for a “sexualised” Vogue Enfants photoshoot, with the fact that she was wearing high heels and a full face of make-up inciting huge debate.
Wearing a lamé gold dress with a plunging neckline, pre-teen Thylane was also draped with millions of pounds worth of jewellery as she gazed down the camera lens.
Speaking at the time, her mother said: “I understand that this could seem shocking.
“I admit I myself was shocked during the photo shoot.
“But let me be precise: the only thing that shocked me is that the necklace she wore was worth €3 million!”
Thylane took a brief break from the spotlight but her career started to take off again earlier this year when she made an appearance at Cannes Film Festival.
