Kim Kardashian finally returns to social media after Paris gunpoint ordeal

Tuesday the 3rd of January 2017 was a pretty fantastic day, ladies and gents, with the queen of social media, Kim Kardashian, finally returning to the spotlight following a three-month hiatus.

Welcome back, Kim!

The star used to regularly keep her fans updated on her life via her popular Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat accounts but after she was robbed at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week back in October, Kim took a step back from the public eye.

Her family and close friends took over the running of her app and Kim even refrained from making any public appearances over the past few months, however, after posting an adorable home video of her family on her app yesterday, the mum-of-two returned to the internet – much to the delight of her millions of followers.

Posting to Insta, Kim simply shared a photo of herself alongside her husband, Kanye West, and their two children, three-year-old North and one-year-old Saint, captioning the sweet snap with: “family”.

She then took to Twitter to reply to her excited fans, who were reacting with joy as they welcomed Kim back into their lives.

Finally, Kim returned to Snapchat, sharing unseen snippets from the video that she had posted to her app and revealing that Kanye had made her two adorable montages of their family life as a Christmas gift.

After three months away it is clear to see that Kim is keen to reinforce the importance of her family with this grand return, quashing speculation that she and Kanye are on the brink of divorce following their tough few months.

Shortly after Kim’s horrifying gunpoint ordeal, Kanye was hospitalised following a “psychotic breakdown”, with a source previously claiming that both stars were undergoing therapy.

The insider said at the time: “They are still both receiving individual therapy. Kim is dealing with the trauma from the robbery. Kanye is receiving help for depression and learning how to cope with stress better.

“They might be thinking about couples therapy, but so far it seems they haven’t had any sessions together.”

It seems as though Kim and Kanye have kicked off their 2017 with a much happier and healthier mindset than the latter part of 2016, and we’re certainly looking forward to seeing more of their lives through Kim’s social media channels.
