EastEnders' Jacqueline Jossa hits out at bodyshamers
She has won the ‘Sexiest Female’ soap award on more than one occasion, but the drop dead gorgeous Jacqueline Jossa has revealed that she is still a constant target for bodyshamers.
The 24-year-old mum-of-one plays Lauren Branning in BBC soap opera EastEnders, and she has now opened up about the nasty comments she receives about her weight.
The actress ranted on Twitter: “Everywhere I look, people are talking about weight or how to lose it, feel sorry for the young girls looking up to the wrong people.
“It’s Christmas, eat what you want, the most important thing is family, and having fun.”
Jacqueline, who is a healthy UK size 10-12, went on to add that she gets called “fat” often, adding: “We don’t have to be stick thin to be happy, this seriously upsets me, I get called fat on a regular basis, I’ve had a baby and I’m happy.

“I’m also still a size 10-12 and don’t want to feel pressured into losing weight to please other people.
“There is so much worse going on in the world right now, I’m going to embrace this Christmas, eat what I want and play games with my family.”
Jacqueline is engaged to former TOWIE star Dan Osborne, and he admitted that the brunette beauty lost some of her confidence after giving birth to their daughter, Ella, last February.
However, when Jacqueline was crowned ‘Sexiest Female’ at the Inside Soap Awards, she got some of her confidence back.
He said at the time: “She was really happy to win that award. She didn’t think she could win it after she’d had a baby- she doesn’t think he’s sexy any more.
“But now she feels good about herself and has had a confidence boost.”
We obviously think that Jacqueline is absolutely gorgeous, and good on her for speaking out so publicly about her weight.
