I'm A Celebrity viewers blast Scarlett Moffatt for LYING about lift fears

Last night’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! saw Geordie Gogglebox star, Scarlett Moffatt, get crowned Queen of the Jungle after winning over viewers across the nation with her girl-next-door persona.

However, the same episode saw Scarlett get exposed for lying about her fears during Bushtucker Trials, with some fans turning on the TV star at the final hurdle.

It all started when Scarlett joined hosts Ant and Dec for her final Bushtucker trial of the series, with the star being told that she’ll be sealed into a small cave and joined by a host of creepy crawlies.

This is when Scarlett revealed that she had an intense fear of small places, claiming that she can’t even go in lifts because her phobia is so overwhelming.

She told the presenters: “I can feel myself getting upset.

“But I feel if I can do this I might finally be able to go in lifts because I was on the 34th floor out here and I walked the stairs because I can’t stand small spaces.”

However, all it takes is a quick sweep of Scarlett’s Instagram account to see that the star uses lifts on a regular basis – in fact, her and her boyfriend, Luke, are always posing for ‘lift selfies’, which Scarlett then posts to her account.

Hmm, doesn’t look like much of a phobia, does it?

Taking to Twitter, bewildered viewers blasted Scarlett for lying, with many accusing her of trying to build up the sympathy vote:

Obviously the whole debacle doesn’t really matter now, with Scarlett taking home the Queen of the Jungle crown last night – much to her critics’ annoyance.
