Couple stages 'family' photos with Mustang supercharger to quiet questions about when they're having children

When one Utah couple felt the pressures of having kids, they decided to respond with a rather unique family photo shoot.

Brayden Tomicic, a sales executive and owner of South Valley Photography, along with his wife, Payton, were frequently asked by his mother when the couple would be starting a family. In response, Brayden took professional family photos with the newest addition to the Tomicic clan – an Eaton twin screw supercharger, an air compressor, for his 2007 Ford Mustang GT.

Brayden's reasoning? The Mustang is their baby.

"The idea came from seeing all the newborn photos on social media and having my mother always asking when we are having kids," Brayden told Yahoo Lifestyle. “[Payton and I] are both car enthusiasts and have been planning on supercharging my car. We figured since it was our baby we would make a little joke to tease the idea that she would be a grandma, but with a supercharger instead."

When he told Payton about his plan, she was immediately down for it. "She's an amazing sport," Brayden explained.

"The last two years Payton and I have been preparing for this moment and finally the time has come," Brayden wrote on Facebook. "It's something I have always wanted but never knew how soon it was going to happen. We have been truly blessed this last year and finally it is here."

"We would love to welcome this Supercharger into our household! It is going to be whining a lot but can't wait for all of the fun!" he wrote, sharing photos of his wife lovingly cradling the supercharger.

The post quickly made the rounds in car communities on Facebook and has been shared over 16,000 times.

The supercharger is already installed, Brayden said, and currently being tuned up.

As for Brayden's mother, she wasn't entirely disappointed.

"My mom didn't see the post at first but when she did she absolutely loved it," Brayden told Yahoo Lifestyle. "She has a good sense of humor."
