Jamie Foxx 'emphatically denies' sexual misconduct allegation

An attorney representing the actor Jamie Foxx has denied accusations that he sexually assaulted a woman 16 years ago.

According to a report from TMZ, the unidentified accuser has claimed that Foxx slapped her face with his penis in 2002 when she refused to perform oral sex on him at a party he was hosting in Las Vegas.

She goes on to say that she was then told to leave the party by one of Foxx’s friends, after which she returned to Los Angeles and sought treatment for panic attacks.

Through his attorney, Foxx has said that he will be pursuing the matter with the Las Vegas Police Department, accusing the woman of filing a false police report.

“Jamie emphatically denies that this incident ever occurred,” said Allison Hart of Lavely & Singer, “and he will be filing a report with the Las Vegas Police Department against the woman for filing a false police report against him.

“The first time [Jamie] became aware of this woman’s absurd claims about an incident that supposedly occurred 16 years ago was when TMZ contacted his representatives [Tuesday] about this story.”

“The alleged incident was not reported to law enforcement in 2002, or at any other time in the last 16 years until last Friday because the incident never happened.”

TMZ says that the LVPD is listing the claim as an ‘open investigation’, but that the statute of limitations for such cases in Nevada is three years.

It also adds that the women making the claims came forward after being inspired by the #MeToo movement.
